An Audio Introduction to The Kindness Project (1:09)

Stories of Everyday Kindness

Picture
The Kindness Project is a collection of audio stories of acts of kindness; stories of everyday acts that create extraordinary impacts on a person's life.

72 Stories Collected From Around the US!

I set out around the country from February to April of 2012 collecting stories of acts of kindness.  I found people willing to share stories on buses and trains, in diners and bars, on street corners and church pews, inside congressional buildings and on Native American reservations.  I found that not only did most people have a story to share about a received (or given) act of kindness, I also had countless acts of kindness bestowed upon me on my journey around the country.  From a man giving me directions in New York to a lady giving me a ride in Mississippi; from concerned waitresses in MIssouri to kind Amtrak crew members in Seattle, so many people helped me when I needed it most and even when I didn't.

I'm currently living in San Francisco, CA, trying to get the project on the air, volunteering with KALW radio and bartending to pay the rent.  For more information on the Kindness Project trip, check out the blog

The Kickstarter Video that made it all possible!  Thanks so much to Erica Jordan and Monte Black for making this!
